DAS Accommodation & Support
DAS Accommodation and Support Services is a division of HPA
that provides a wide range of support services to Territorians
with disabilities with low to moderate support needs.
We provide a range of skills training and services to encourage individuals
to live in the least restrictive environment within the community.
DAS provides this valuable outreach support, on a full-time, and part-time basis, to people
living independently in the community. These clients are living either in units rented from HPA, NT housing or privately owned dwellings situated in the Darwin and Palmerston regions.
COMMUNITY ACCESS SUPPORT
Through our Community Access program, we aim to provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to fully participate in their communities.
Our program focuses on removing barriers and creating an inclusive environment where individuals can access various activities at home and in the community.
Our service support includes shopping, attending appointments, community engagement, attending events, improving confidence, cooking, domestic duties, meal planning, budgeting and use of public transport.
Supported Independent Living
Our Supported Independent Living (SIL) program empowers individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible while still receiving the necessary support to ensure their well-being and safety.
Our service can range from a few hours of support per week to 24/7 assistance, depending on the person's level of independence and the complexity of their support requirements.
Affordable Accommodations for Eligible Independent AND/OR SUPPORTED Tenants
We provide limited housing opportunities with reasonably priced living arrangements for independent and/or supported tenants who meet the eligibility criteria.
This ensures access to safe, affordable, and quality living spaces, empowering individuals to lead stable and self-sufficient lives.
